Many moons ago, I found myself wandering the streets of my city alone, adrift against the stars. I had initially set out to purchase some much needed sustenance at the local mart. After obtaining my haul, I stalked back to myne home, exhausted from the day's toilings. On my way back, however, pangs of hunger racked my body, so I helped myself to some of my new spoils. As I continued my return, however, a sinking feeling took over my stomach, and my skin began to crawl. I hurredly dashed towards my abode, but I could not outrun the creature trailing me. Its claws wrapped around my throat, touch as light as a feather but force as bounding as stones. I struggled to breathe, and the last thing I saw before I collapsed was the creature's menacing grin. I waded in and out of consciousness for some time, hearing sirens call and agonizing souls shout. When I eventually came to, I found myself in a hospital room wish gashes all over. A nurse informed me that I had lost a lot of blood, and that I was lucky to have AB+ blood. Perhaps that is why the vampire found my scent so tantalizing. They discharged me a day later, and I could not help but gawk at the dressings around my neck. I knew what lay under the gauze, and I could not bring myself to remove it. To this day, I still feel the sting of its fangs and claws under the bandages, forever tormenting me.
After my transformation, I took it upon myself to research my new kind. I found a most haunting group of similar individuals that helped me grow into the vampire I am today, and I would like to especially thank them. If you ever see ThatGothGirl, ElVampira, or xxxBloodSoresxx or any others of the House of Fra on the vast interwebs, know that they are good souls. They introduced my to Naenia, the progenitor of all things vampiric. As new bloods, born or transformed, we receive a special name from her. This name is a sacred gift that reveals who the vampire truly is. My name, Lys du matin, means Morning Lily
. I do not yet know why Naenia picked such a title for me, but it is a vampire's goal in (after)life to determine the reason.
For any new bloods out there, I hope my story evokes a sense of determination within you. I admit, it is difficult to come to terms with things once you are first transformed, but know that it is for the better. Hopefully, when this page grows in popularity, I will construct a page where all my viewers can post their own stories. How I would love to hear what everybody else went through.
